Yet you keep saying over two years ago, when you had barely joined the forum 2 years ago.

For one, I tried, but they wouldn't work. Also, all the mods I've seen for these forums (other than the ones that don't work) don't really perform any beneficial function.

Haven't mentioned it before, but also consider that Forumer can take down any forum at any time. Also, I have heard of boards just having random losses of data.

You run this risk anytime that you sign up for a free service, hosted somewhere else. You will find that all TOS agreements allow themselves some sort of safety net in case it hits the fan & they loose all of your data.

Unless you want to setup your own PHPBB (or other software) forums & perform your own backups, you run this risk. This isn't a risk found only on forumer.

I don't recall anything good ever being said about 50megs hosting on this forum, if anything its a slap in the face to them. Its a testimonial as to how bad they are and serves them right for ignoring us. I would like to see the 50megs banner fly for that reason alone.

So what about This new forum ? would people be able to embed media and audio players , widgets and such in to their post. would they be able to customize the way their boards look , if so I would vote yes. I'm just tired of being limited to the same old thing we've always had. unless members are going to be able to do those sort of thing here they might as well just stay at My Space. They should be able to do all the things with a post that they can do with a personal blog.
And those features should be available upon a glance.

Remember I tried to add a money mod that would work, but it would start messing up after it got to 10 users due to multiple digits? Like it would use user 1's money for user 10's, and so forth. I think I tried to change the color of people's names in topics (like administrators red, super mods purple), but that didn't work. I tried to add another column to the member list, but that didn't work. I tried to add an online/offline indicator that would show to the left of people's posts, under their name. That didn't work either. Can't remember any more right off the top of my head.

Well other than users adding functional HTML (which would enable JavaScript, which could be used maliciously), they should be able to do most of the same things.

There should be mods for this. If there aren't, I know PHP.

EDIT: After looking at the MyBB mod section (which requires nothing to access) I found multiple plugins that I would implement onto the forum. YouTube videos can be embedded in posts, text can be highlighted, pictures can be linked with thumbnails, etc. Yes Zombie, I would try my best to make all of our ideas work and make it as feature-full as I can.

We would need to start soon because school will be starting for me in 10 days, cutting down a bit on my available time.

Anyone have input?

Still think we should try to get a new forum going. Wierdo, and I were discussing possible names for a new forum & domain. Did you run that one by Zombie, Wierdo?

Wouldn't that be nice. We will list the names before decided, and then go to register the domain with them all taken already....

I am pleased to announce that we have created a new forum on my web hosting. The forum's name is TechnoFyed. It isn't quite finished yet, but we're at the final tweaking stages. Zombie, Matt, and I have been working on this project for the past few weeks in plans and finally in implementation. I would like to remind you guys that this forum WILL remain open for those in need of 50Megs support. I have great expectations for this new forum to grow and succeed.
